Maine-Grown, Lab-Tested, and Compliant
Everything on our shelves is cultivated and produced in Maine and sold under Adult-Use Retail License #AMS639, regulated by the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy and tracked seed-to-sale through Metrc. Before any product is sold, it’s tested in its final form and issued a Certificate of Analysis covering THC potency, pesticides, heavy metals, molds, and mycotoxins, with edibles dosed to Maine’s 10mg-per-serving standard. For the Orono area’s many first-time and occasional buyers, including the 21-and-over crowd during University of Maine move-in, homecoming, and graduation weekends. That testing is the difference between guessing and knowing exactly what you’re getting.
A Local Stop Worth the Short Trip
Orono is a true college town: Marsh Island wrapped by the Penobscot and Stillwater Rivers, the UMaine campus and its Black Bears, Pat’s Pizza on Mill Street since 1931, and the Orono Bog Boardwalk just up the road. We’ve built Pho King to fit that community, an approachable, no-pressure recreational dispensary where you can ask questions, learn the difference between an indica, a sativa, and a hybrid, and find out how terpenes like myrcene and limonene shape the experience. Whether you’re heading home to Old Town, back to campus, or out toward Veazie, we make the stop quick and the visit easy.

Orono, Marsh Island, and the Route to Bangor
Orono sits on Marsh Island, the stretch of land held between the Penobscot River on one side and the Stillwater River on the other, about ten miles north of our Hammond Street counter. The town was incorporated in 1806 and takes its name from Chief Joseph Orono, the Penobscot Nation leader remembered for keeping peace with early settlers. In 1840 it ceded part of its territory to form Old Town, which is why the two communities still function as one corridor in practice.
From the University of Maine campus, College Avenue and Stillwater Avenue are the two roads that feed Interstate 95. Exit 193 is the Orono interchange, with Exit 197 serving Old Town further north. Southbound on I-95 the run into Bangor is direct, and Exit 182B puts you onto US Route 2 and Route 100 at Hammond Street and Odlin Road, essentially at our door. Route 2 also parallels the interstate the whole way if you would rather stay on surface roads.
The island geography is the thing most people underestimate. Because Orono is bounded by two rivers, almost every route out of town funnels toward the same crossings, which is why traffic patterns tighten during University of Maine move in and graduation weekends. Plan around those dates and the drive is a comfortable twenty minutes. We are at 1114 Hammond Street, Suite 2, Bangor, Maine 04401.

Reading that suits the Orono crowd: what cannabis terpenes do, building tolerance slowly, why effects vary from person to person and microdosing. Our full library covers cannabinoids, strains, edibles, concentrates, storage and dosing, and our budtenders are happy to go over any of it in person at the shop.
