How Far Is Pho King From Hampden?
Roughly six to seven miles depending on where in Hampden you begin, and about ten to twelve minutes of driving. Hampden is a long town along the river, so the sensible route changes with your starting point.
From the village and the Main Road area, US Route 1A north is the direct line. It runs up the west side of the Penobscot into Bangor, where a short connection puts you onto Hammond Street. From the western side of town, or if you are already on the highway, Interstate 95 north to Exit 182B is the faster option. That exit serves US Route 2 and Route 100 at Hammond Street and Odlin Road, which puts you essentially at our door. Hampden is roughly seven miles from that interchange.
Route 9 and US Route 202 also serve Hampden and connect through to the same approaches. Whichever way you come, there is free parking on site, the entrance is wheelchair accessible, and we check ID at the door.

Why Hampden Residents Choose Us
Hampden has just under 7,800 residents and a genuinely suburban character, close enough to Bangor for daily convenience while keeping its own identity. For cannabis, that proximity works in your favour. Ten minutes is a shorter trip than many Bangor residents make across their own city.
What we offer for that ten minutes is a fully stocked adult use shop with Maine grown, state tested product across every format, and staff who will talk you through it properly. We are not a volume operation trying to move you through a queue. If you want to spend ten minutes understanding the difference between two cultivars before choosing, that is a normal conversation here.
Being on the Hammond Street side of Bangor also helps. You are not fighting through the middle of the city to reach us, whether you come up Route 1A or off the interstate.
Hampden, the River, and the Roads North
Hampden was incorporated in 1794 and named after John Hampden, the English parliamentarian remembered for standing against arbitrary taxation. The town spreads across nearly thirty nine square miles along the west bank of the Penobscot River estuary, which gives it an unusual mix of riverside neighbourhoods, working farmland and forest within a single municipal boundary.
That geography is why Hampden feels bigger than its population suggests, and why the drive time varies so much depending on where you live. Someone near the Winterport line has a meaningfully different trip from someone close to the Bangor boundary. Route 1A along the river and Interstate 95 inland are the two spines that hold the town together, and both of them point north toward us.
What Hampden Customers Buy
Hampden customers buy across the full range, which we put down to the town’s mix of households. Edibles and gummies do particularly well here with customers who do not want to smoke at home, and tinctures appeal to those who want a small, controlled and repeatable amount.
On the inhaled side, flower and pre-rolls remain the staples, while concentrates and live resin draw the more experienced end of the trade. If edibles are new to you, please read our beginner dosing guide and how long edibles take to kick in before your first one. It is the single most common thing people get wrong.
