How Far Is Pho King From Eddington?

Roughly eight miles and about fifteen minutes. Route 9, known locally as the Airline Road, and US Route 1A both run west out of Eddington toward Brewer, where they meet the eastern end of Interstate 395. From there I-395 crosses the Penobscot into Bangor and connects through to the Hammond Street corridor, where we are at number 1114.

Which road you start on depends on where in town you are. From Eddington Village at the Route 9 and Route 46 intersection, Route 9 west is the direct line. From the riverside stretch where State Route 178 runs north along the Penobscot, dropping south to Route 1A through Brewer is usually quicker. Both converge on the same crossing.

Free parking on site when you arrive, a wheelchair accessible entrance, and a photo ID check at the door for every customer.

Why Eddington Residents Drive In

Eddington is a riverside town of the kind that keeps its retail small and does its shopping in Bangor. For adult use cannabis the nearest full range is across the river, and fifteen minutes on roads you already use is a modest trip for a properly stocked shop.

What we try to be worth the drive for is range and straight answers. Everything we carry is grown in Maine and tested by state licensed laboratories, we stock every format rather than a token selection, and our budtenders will tell you honestly when the thing you are pointing at is not the best jar on the shelf this week.

We are open seven days a week and you are welcome to call (207) 573-4309 before setting out if you want something specific held back.

Eddington, the Airline Road, and Chemo Pond

Eddington’s geography is shaped by water and by one long road. Chemo Pond is the largest body of water in town and busy right through the summer, and the town also fronts Davis Pond, which it shares with neighbouring communities. Between them they account for a good share of how residents spend the warmer half of the year.

The Airline Road is the other defining feature. Route 9 has carried traffic east from the Bangor area toward the coast and the Canadian border for generations, and Eddington sits at the near end of it. State Route 178 splits north along the Penobscot where Route 9 Business, the Airline Highway on that stretch, carries on east.

Eddington Village, at the Route 9 and Route 46 intersection, is the historic centre of town, taking in Comins Hall and the Eddington Community Church along with a cluster of older homes. Outside the village the town runs to woodland, including the Penobscot Experimental Forest and Boy Scout Camp Roosevelt.

What Eddington Customers Buy

Eddington customers buy much like the rest of the east bank. Flower and pre-rolls lead, with indica strains favoured for the evening and hybrids for general use.

Given the outdoor culture around Chemo Pond and the trail network, we also see steady demand for topicals and for vape cartridges, which suit a day on the water better than anything that needs a grinder. Edibles pick up through the winter. If you are working out what suits you, our guides to choosing the perfect strain, judging cannabis quality and storing weed properly are the useful starting points.
