How Far Is Pho King From Bucksport?

Roughly nineteen miles and about twenty five to thirty minutes. Route 15 is the natural line. It follows the east side of the Penobscot north through Orrington and up into Bangor, where it connects across to the Hammond Street corridor. We are at 1114.

Bucksport is unusually well connected for a town its size, crossed by US Route 1 and by state routes 3, 15 and 46, so there is more than one way to start the trip depending on which part of town you are in. Route 15 north is the direct one. Drivers coming from the Orland side sometimes prefer to cut across and pick up Route 1A through Holden and Brewer, which takes a similar time.

Free parking on site when you arrive, accessible entrance, and an ID check at the door.

Why Bucksport Residents Come North to Us

Bucksport looks two ways. South and east toward the coast, and north toward Bangor for anything the town does not carry itself. For cannabis, north is where the depth of selection is.

Half an hour is a real commitment, so what we try to offer in exchange is a shop where the trip is not wasted. A full range across flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, concentrates, edibles and topicals, everything Maine grown and state tested, and staff who will tell you honestly when something is not as good as the thing next to it. We would rather sell you the right jar once than the wrong one twice.

As with anywhere at this distance, ring ahead on (207) 573-4309 if you have something particular in mind.

Bucksport, Fort Knox, and the Narrows

Bucksport has one of the more dramatic settings in the region. The town faces Verona Island across the Penobscot, with Fort Knox on the far bank, a granite fortification built from 1844 and never actually attacked. Beside it stands the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, whose observatory rises some 437 feet above the water and is among the tallest of its kind anywhere.

Along the town’s own shore, the Waterfront Walkway runs about a mile with the fort and the bridge in view the whole way, alongside a public fishing pier, boat ramps and a marina. The Bucksport Historical Society keeps its museum in an 1874 railroad station, complete with a model of a locally built sailing ship and a narwhal tooth brought back from an early North Pole expedition.

It is a town with a long working relationship with the river, bordered by Orrington and Holden to the north and Orland and Dedham to the east, and the road north to Bangor has carried that traffic for a very long time.

What Bucksport Customers Buy

Bucksport customers, like others at this range, tend to buy in quantity and plan ahead. Flower remains the anchor purchase, with indica strains and hybrids outselling sativas outside the summer months.

We see solid demand for edibles and gummies from customers who would rather not smoke, and for CBD and topicals among those who want the plant without intoxication. If you are buying enough to last several weeks, read our guides on whether weed expires and judging cannabis quality so you know what you are keeping and how to keep it.

Because Bucksport customers usually buy enough to last, these are worth a look: how long cannabis stays fresh, judging cannabis quality, why edibles affect everyone differently and does weed expire.
