Why Brewer Crosses the River for Pho King

Brewer and Bangor are twin cities, and the bridge trip is a quick one, well worth it for a dispensary that treats the visit right. We offer a curated, rotating selection of trusted Maine craft brands, genuinely knowledgeable budtenders, and a 5.0-star reputation built across more than 300 Google reviews. We carry flower and pre-rolls from cultivators like SeaWeed Co., Firefly Organics, Rugged Roots, Highbrow, The Maine Lab, and Zero Gravity, plus concentrates including live resin, live rosin, and distillate, a full edibles lineup, vape cartridges, and CBD and CBG options.

Maine-Grown, Lab-Tested, and Compliant

Everything on our shelves is cultivated and produced in Maine and sold under Adult-Use Retail License #AMS639, regulated by the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy and tracked seed-to-sale through Metrc. Before any product is sold, it’s tested in its final form and issued a Certificate of Analysis covering THC potency, pesticides, heavy metals, molds, and mycotoxins, with edibles dosed to Maine’s 10mg-per-serving standard. When you cross the river to a licensed Bangor dispensary, you know exactly what you’re getting.

Bangor's Twin City on the Penobscot

Brewer has its own proud history on the east bank of the Penobscot: connected to Bangor by three bridges, home of Civil War hero and Maine governor Joshua L. Chamberlain, and anchored by the scenic Brewer Riverwalk with its Children’s Garden and views back across the water. Wilson Street ties the whole city together. We’ve built Pho King to serve neighbors like these, an approachable, no-pressure recreational dispensary where you can ask questions, learn the difference between an indica, a sativa, and a hybrid, and find out how terpenes like myrcene and limonene shape the experience.

Brewer, the Bridges, and the I-395 Approach

Brewer faces Bangor across the Penobscot River, close enough that the two have been called twin cities for well over a century. The Joshua Chamberlain Bridge is the direct crossing from the Wilson Street side, and from the moment you are over the water our Hammond Street counter is only a few minutes further on.

The other approach is Interstate 395, whose eastern end sits in Brewer at US Route 1A and Route 9. Taking I-395 west across the river and connecting through to the Hammond Street corridor avoids the downtown crossing entirely, which is the better choice at busy times of day. Route 1A continues southeast from that same interchange toward Holden and the coast, and Route 9, the Airline Road, runs east toward Eddington.

For Brewer customers the practical point is that both routes take about ten minutes and neither requires driving through the middle of Bangor. We sit on the western side of the city at 1114 Hammond Street, Suite 2, Bangor, Maine 04401, with free parking on site and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Our Holden and Eddington pages cover the towns further out along those same two roads.
